Now’s the time for boat maintenance

Now that the holidays are over, it’s time to get back to thinking about some different areas of life, one of those being your boat. It may seem like spring is still a long way off, but your first time out on the water this year could be less than three months away. April and May are the busiest months of the year for us at Coeur Custom in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho, with hundreds of boat-owners coming out of hibernation. Because we are a factory-trained shop for Mercruiser, Mercury Race, Mercury outboards, Volvo Penta gas and diesel as well as Indmar and Crusader Marine, we’re bound to have a lot of boats in our shop.

We’ll be summarizing boats and working as fast as we can on last-minute repairs to get people out on any of the northwest’s beautiful lakes as soon as the first warm days arrive. Because of that, those are not the months you want to be bringing your boat in for out of the ordinary maintenance or repairs. Instead, why not get all those problems taken care of now, so when spring finally comes, you’ll be ready to hit the water.

We invite you to think back about the last time you were out on your boat. Did you notice some fiberglass fractures that needed repair, or was there a troublesome sound when you started your engine?

Our offices are fairly quiet this time of year, so give any one of our team members a call, and talk to us about what kind of maintenance you need done. We’re then able to talk to you about what the problem is, and what kind of work will need to be done, so you can be sure you’re ready for spring.
